Do you make provisions for wheelchair users?
Yes, the Summer Ball site is accessible for wheelchair users. There are hard walkways leading to and from each of the arenas, and hard flooring inside all of the arenas.
If you use a wheelchair please email lucy@leedssummerball.com to make arrangements to take you to and from Lotherton Hall as we can not guarantee the carriages will be able to accommodate you.
Is the dress code compulsory?
The black tie dress code is not compulsory. However, the majority of Summer Ball-goers will be dressed up! Have a look at photos from previous Leeds Summer Ball events (on the Facebook group) for ideas about what to wear if unsure.
Do I need to bring my student card to the Ball for verification?
No, you do not need to bring your student card with you to gain entry to the ball, just your Summer Ball ticket. Leeds University Union and Leeds Summer Ball operate a check 21 policy so you may be asked for proof of age when buying alcohol at the bar.
What happens to lost property?
Any lost items will be returned to Leeds University Union where they can be claimed from the Helpdesk in the foyer. Sometimes lost property will turn up a week after the Summer Ball takes place as the site is taken down; it is worth checking again at the Helpdesk for any mislaid belongings after 14th June. You can call them on 0113 380 1400 if you wish to enquire ahead.
